BURNA BOY HAS THE WHOLE WORLD LISTENING !!!

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu known professionally as Burna Boy, is one of the biggest and most successful African artists.

“I’ve never picked up a pen and paper and written down a song in my life,” he said. “It all just comes, like someone is standing there telling me what to say. It’s all according to the spirits. Some of us are put on this earth to do what we do.”

Do you have a premise for objections ?? More facts on his achievements will keep you cleared and satisfied. Just follow through….
So, Like witty men would say “You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else”. I feel this what’s obtainable in his career. Burna has played skillfully in all rounds penetrating energetically till he gained his presence in the entertainment industry generally.

Burna Boy emanated to protuberance in the Year 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. His third studio album Outside marked his major-label debut. In 2019, he won Best International Act at the 2019 BET Awards, and was announced as an Apple Music Up Next artist. His fourth studio album African Giant was released in July 2019; it won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy performed before a sold-out crowd at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. A day prior to the show, he held a pop-up event at Red by Little Farm and sold limited boxes of his Space Puffs cereal, as well as custom notepads, lighters and graphic tee-shirts. On 9 October 2018, Burna Boy was announced as one of Spotify’s New Afro Hub Takeover Artist. The announcement coincided with him being named YouTube’s Artist on the Rise for 3 months.

He was awarded the African Artist of the Year at the 2020 VGMA’s. This was a huge accomplishment, his fans shared in his celebration. In 2020, his album Twice as Tall was nominated for the same category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, making him the first Nigerian with back-to-back nominations at the Grammys, everyone acclaimed !!! In 2021, he won the award for Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Burna Boy describes his music as Afro-fusion, a genre that blends Afrobeat, dancehall riddims, reggae, American rap and R&B. August Brown of the Los Angeles Times said Burna Boy’s sound is “savvy and modern but undistracted by obvious crossover moves”.
Amazing ?? ?? Now have you ever wondered how he constructs his guile ??

BURNA’S CONTESTATION

Burna Boy’s outspoken views have made him a controversial figure in the Nigerian and African entertainment industry. Burna Boy has been in a feud with South African rapper AKA over anti-Nigerian tweets. In July 2019, the rapper posted controversial and threatening tweets after South Africa lost to Nigeria at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
No other artist was able to stand up for the issue which kindled out causing the rappers to go on social Media, wording each other. It was eventful though, but this shows how bold Burna Boy is, through this event he got his other popular name (Odogu). He is a warrior , an intellectual one indeed !!

QUOTE

Burna Boy’s Creativity has thrusted out an incorporated QUOTE from my archive that says ‘The crazy creatives are the creatives who never go completely mad. They aren’t so easily disheartened by the seemingly endless amounts of scrutiny that creative individuals tend to receive because they, like insanity, are the ones who feed off of opposition and negative feedback and manage to continue along with a healthy ambition. It is the crazy that teaches us to use our gifts wisely and own all the attackers’.

There are times we need to luck out on people’s opinions and get something out of life, Burna Boy applied this method and is celebrated for his wholesome attainment today. He is a KING , he has broken records !!
